This is one of the dirty little secrets of the Internet. Hardly anyone talks about it.
I had an eye-opening experience when I thought I was going to make an easy joint venture deal with a software product I had a prototype for and that my husband was going to turn into a commercial product. The business owner who I thought would jump at the deal said he wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. He had one software product that he sold and dealing with customer questions and tech support issues nearly shaved away all his profit on the product. This doesn't come up with video, audio or print products!
