Default Intent?

Millard, it seems you have two ideas, one for the restaurant? And the other for prospects you take to the restaurant? Is this correct? Who are the prospects, what are you offering to them?

As for restaurants only, you gave the guy VALUE, back in the day, by giving ideas for them to increase profits, or decrease expenses, what ever the value of the tips was, he thought it worth your free meals.

As a showman, you may be able to pull off Glenn's techniques, they aren't suited for most of us, but adding value to restaurants...is a different thing.

Friend of the forum, Steve DiMarco does a good business with his restaurant daily special menu boards, which the restaurants get for free, and he sells advertising on them.

His newer program, so far for pizza shops and take-out places, could be adapted to sit down restaurants, because the flyers offer a MONTHLY coupon, and the restaurant could get repeat customers...again, for free.

Not quite sure, what your goal might be, but all restaurants (or most) would not turn down more business would they? I think it might have to do with the VALUE you bring to either the restaurant or your PROSPECT, as impressed as he might be with your flirt tipping skills, when it comes time for him to reach for his wallet, he still needs to know what is IN IT FOR HIM? What value are you offering?

Or are you just looking for more fee meals?

Any owner would love to have some money making ideas for the cost of a meal or two, I'd think?

With that example in mind, I was wondering if the same thing could happen again?

Keep in mind, that I do well when I am in a one-on-one situation with people. I have found that even though I do well when talking with someone personally, it doesn't translate as well when I am on the phone. It could be that I just engage well with people in person. (Might be due to my years as a performer)

In any case, I could see going to local restaurants that I like, ordering a meal, and trying to talk with the owner. As a customer, I am assuming the owner would be more inclined to talk with me briefly.

Now I want to make a side-trip.

Glenn Osborn has talked many times of his experiences eating with prospects at restaurants and "flirt-tipping" staff to impress the prospect. Perhaps just doing what Glenn does with prospects will make far more money that you can spend eating at your favorite restaurants than helping the restaurant owners?

Who knows?

I would imagine that depending on the amount of time a person spends prospecting restaurants or just eating and talking to folks will make a choice as to whether or not it is worth going after restaurants for profits.

Since my wife and I go out to eat AT LEAST, one time a week, it is time to INCREASE my efforts to make going out more FUN and more profitable.
