Default Icebreaker: RE: multi-topic hotsheets

Okay, let's get this show on the road and maybe it will encourage more folks to show up, sign up, ect. Let's have some conversation and fun now we have a brand new playground. LOL

Question: I have a bunch of hotsheets done that are not really closely related but sort of, in a very broad way. Would it be best to create some to go with each narrower category and use them as mini-packages or put them into an ebook, or? Perhaps I'd be best to go for variety and make a package of them since they're mostly home and family-oriented topics.

Your input, thoughts, ideas, etc much appreciated. Thanks!

Do what Oprah does Sandi.

Her categories are not narrow. In fact, she has just one broad category - women. And everything else falls under that.

She focuses on one kind of people. Not one kind of category.

Its ok if all your hotsheets don't fall under one same narrow topic. The main thing is - will the same people like to read all of them?

If yes, you don't need to do any additional work or create any more hotsheets. If no, then you'll have to divide hotsheets by people.

Ankesh,

Thanks for revealing Oprah's trick.

Of course, she is at a stage where she can almost put on anything and her Fans will be Into it.

Sandi: Just start offering them as they are - individual hotsheets. Otherwise, you run the risk of doing nothing because you cannot decide which format you want to sell them in. See them individually first, group them in whichever way second.

I was thinking along the same lines as Ankesh - if you have the same market for all of these Hotsheets - why not turn them into a monthly newsletter?

On Ankesh's mention of Oprah...

Ever thought of doing Hotsheets on Oprah shows and other Popular TV and Celebrity stuff...

Lots of people not home watching TV and missing shows...

So watch Oprah for them and "HOTSHEET" it with a backend of Women Specialty products...

Bet you there's a Hot Niche market if they're well packaged, presented and marketed!

There you go... TVHotsheets.com

Wow! Great feedback, folks.

Phil, did it ever occur to you that you're one hot topic yourself? LOL Seriously, where you come up with some of this stuff is a wonder. Impressive!

Yes, good idea on Oprah maybe even take it further and turn it into a daily Oprah (or other star) fashion newsletter. What she's wearing today, who is the designer, how much do the clothes cost, what other stars are wearing the shame clothes, blah, blah.

Also how about a newsletter solely on celebrity charities funded by them or promoted by them. Jolie and Pitt have gotten lots of pub on their charity activities probably get lots of support from them and others because you'll help to promote their cause. Win, win.

Also check out the ending credits of shows like Oprah and other local shows. Find out who their stylist are often companies donate these perks to the stars. Interview these people for styling tidbits and star gossip of course.
