Default Mailorder question for Mr. Winicki or others

Hi,

You know those companies that provide retreats or training programs for corporate team building? How do those companies get prospects? Do you think there are lists of names you could rent?

Thanks in advance for any replies,

- Boyd

Default Drat! I did it again

Hi,

Sometimes I write and post messages faster than I can think clearly. I forgot that tons of people on this forum have expertise in mailorder, and my 'Subject' should have been simply "Mailorder Question" instead of specifying a particular name. In other words, I wasn't trying to slight anyone and I wasn't trying to flatter Mr. W.

Note to self: Self, think first, *then* post.

Best,

- Boyd

Default Don't worry Boyd, I can't be flattered!

Boyd,

Yes, there are many companies doing team building through retreats and via training programs brought directly to the client's workplace.

And yes mailing lists are available I'm sure (I haven't checked with my list broker but I'm those lists are indeed out there).

Companies that are interested in team building probably already spend a good chunk of change on employee training of some type. Companies that invest a lot with say "Career Track" (www.careertrack.com) would probably be good prospects. Companies that use a revolving door policy when it comes to employees probably are not. I believe the "Career Track" list is rentable.

Take care,

Mike Winicki

Default A note about the "as seen in the tabloids" products

Hi Marye,

Michael Winicki's list of tabloid-products, as you may recall, included this gem:

--

Three-quarter page ad-"Now available to the public from Medical Research Press, The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Human Curiosites" (MSW notes-this book sells for $6.95)

--

I've already drafted a letter to the editors pointing out that I should have been included in this volume, and offering myself for the next edition.

Your friend and admirer,

- Boyd
