The HEAD TILT - Something Fun & Profitable Obama is Doing
Hi,
Thanks for bringing up another Great Communicator - Barak Obama. One of My Ezine Readers Mentioned something Powerful Obama is doing. I've been Testing it. I'd like some other perspectives on it too. In the book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People" Dale Carnegie - there seems to be an amazing idea. One that Barak Obama has adopted to a -Communicate better. b -Appear to LISTEN Better than others. c -Deflect criticism and Hostile Questions in Town Halls & Press Conferences. One Way to Describe the idea is this: "In Order to CONTROL The Other Person In an Argument You MUST Change Yourself. You cannot Change what others do." You've seen Obama use the HEAD TILT on Television. A - To LISTEN with RESPECT in a Political Debate. He TILTS his Head onto his Right Shoulder. B - Obama TILTS his head While He Listens to a Hostile Question. The Straightens up. Says something Positive. Ignores the negative. C - Barak Obama Gives a Speech About FAith, Hope & The American Dream. Then he TILTS his HEAD as if he is listening to each one of his Listeners. A WARNING - The "HEad Tilt" is Powerful Body Language. SMILE BEFORE YOU TRY IT. I was in a Gas Station Yesterday. There was an Dour, Grumpy faced Black Guy filling his SUV 4 feet away - on the other side of the pump. I TILTED my head to the right. LOOKED at him. He snarled, "You're not so ___________ Pretty yourself." Whoa! He was OK Before when I was looking at him "Normally". So... What does seem to Work? To Deepen Communication -- is to Wave, Smile, Get a smile back and THEN Do the HEAD TILT. People talk your ears off. It really works well. Anyway - I thought I'd share something Positive You can use to make people LIKE YOU. When people LIKE YOU they pay you faster and More. Thanks, Glenn P.S. - I've been Testing this HEAD TILT thing for 2 weeks. If you'd like to see some of my other HEAD TILT Experiments in Stores, Hotels, Malls and Restaurants... ENJOY. Currently we're just trying to get WILD Head Tilt reactions. Here's the link - http://cgi.ebay.com/How-to-Get-Women...QQcmdZViewItem |

Re: Obama HEAD TILT Testimonial from a Health Club
Hi,
Thanks for emailing me your Obama Head Tilt Results. I've gotten permission to share. Glenn -------------------------------------- Dear Glenn, Thanks. Went to the gym last night to try your new strategy out. Saw this girl behind the counter, I said to some women next to the counter, "Doesn't her hair look good." Then I turned to girl behind the counter, "I like your hair." Head tilt, she had a shocked look and blurted out, "Thanks." Then I did the head tilt again, got a short shocked look on her face. Afterwards I thought about what did I get out of this, what was the purpose? Later on in the gym when I glanced at her she was stroking her hair. Then it came to me I made her feel good about herself. Spreading happiness is good enough reason to do this. Joshua |

Re: Jethro Used Obama HEAD TILT to Flirt w/Girls at Red Lights
Howdy,
Thanks for emailing me your HEAD TILT Results. Jethro was driving to Boston. Used the "Obama Head Tilt" on women drivers at Stop Lights. Glenn ------------------- Glenn, I took your challenge and head tilted some girls in the car on my way back from Boston yesterday. The results: 1 mouthed "Hello" to me. 1 asked me if I was married? When I told her I was and asked "Why?", she said "Because I don't date married guys" then drove off... The third one followed me for almost 150 miles until she got to her exit then flashed her headlights at me as she left the highway... fun! Jethro |

We called it the "Query" back in the day...and a WARNING about its use...
Thanks Glenn,
The tilt proves the Old masters knew a thing or two. Back in the 60s I was taught 5 physical head/body moves: The Push. The Pull. The Query. (Your head tilt). The Mirror. The Blank Stare. Each had a few nuances, but those were the basic moves of Salesmanship face-to-face. I don't have time to go into each of them, they were used at different times during the sales presentation. The Query was (and IS) a powerful rapport/signal sent between people...but a caution must be issued. And if you WANT, you can go to any downtown bus stop in America to test this yourself...it can be mis-construed as a CHALLENGE. You better wear a smile if you tilt your head toward certain people, they might react with a gun or knife to your "dis" or assault. It takes a LOOK to get somepeople fired up, those with a disposition to be aggressive to begin with. But more on ANCIENT salesmanship and NLP, and Face Reading, and modern so-called strategies of communication/influence. The lingo has changed, people have found they can earn considerable bux by adapting language to suit their needs of selling stuff to make a profit. But the basics are the same as they have always been, and today, people may have lost some of their GUT feeling about being manipulated, but the uneasiness is still there for most of us. Just make sure you don't make the wrong "customer" queezy with your tilt and gaze methods. It seems that today's gurus of persuasion are always offering up some NEW way to manipulate and manage people and to get "into their heads"...for their own purposes. Nothing wrong with that if the outcome is truly beneficial to the OBJECT of such persuasion. I feel it important to keep a keen understanding that we are dealing with PEOPLE first and foremost. It's not that Glenn would ever use any of his powerful NLP techniques for harm, but the whole world of "seduction" and "pick up girls" market offers up one sided techniques and in my opinion they are sleezy and manipulative to the point of harm. Later, I'll post a brief history about all things mental/psychic and psychological (although we've explored much of this in the archives). Gordon |
