![]() Never got to meet him. And even though I was on his list, I don't know why I never got to send him an email
But man, that guy was something! Don't know how many people whose business content is still relevant even DECADES later. (Gordon Jay Alexander has content like that too. His free special report Before You Buy Anything is full of practical tips. Still relevant in this age of AI) Just wondered what good ol' Jim Straw would be doing today with AI and stuff What I particularly love about Straw's content is how he breaks things down step-by-step. So you can always find the modern equivalent of whatever resource he mentions in whatever age you find yourself in. Just thought I'd spare a moment to celebrate a true legend in sharing practical fluff-free business content. Enjoy one of his YouTube videos (while it's still up) Happy New Year in advance, everyone

![]() Hi Unpink,
Yes, Jim Straw was great! His reports are great! One thing I noticed about Jim was he would try everything... He wouldn't "prejudge" whether something would work or not, and would try it out to find out for himself! I love how he would invite questions to his emailed newsletter (the "Business Lyceum e-Letter"), and answer them... He introduced it with... "Can you stump the old master? -- Betcha can't!"
Here's one I picked from a random issue (Jan 2006)! ----- Anony Mouse II wanted to know ...----- He gave practical advice... ![]() Best wishes, Dien Quote:

![]() Jim Straw (sadly) unexpectedly passed away on December 3, 2012... His last "e-letter" issue was in November, 2012...
But what a great last newsletter it was... especially the introduction! I thought I'd share it here, because it's so great... Without further ado... Here it is... From the great Jim Straw's "Business Lyceum eLetter" (November 2012)... ----- Greetings & Salutations: |
