"My Boomerang Won't Come Back!"
Recently found myself humming an old tune from my childhood. (Amazing how some things forever stick with us.)
You can even listen along on YouTube Spoiler alert: the punchline still makes me chuckle to this day: "Don't worry, kid. I know the trick And to you, I'm gonna show it If you want your boomerang to come back Well, first, you've got to throw it!" Got me thinking today: what's the "trick" to achieving our goals? For me, it's about taking the right actions daily. I've found that most of the results that haven't shown up with regards to my business goals come from some missing or incorrect steps in my daily execution. With the flood of business content today, it's easy to get caught up in popular advice that sounds good but doesn't lead to any results. That's why I'm forever grateful for genuine business teachers who share actionable fluff-free insights. Teachers like Gordon Jay Alexander and J F (Jim) Straw What about you? What "tricks" or strategies have you found most effective in achieving your business goals? Please share and let's keep growing together

A non-answer answer... :)
Hi Unpink,
My answer to this would have changed throughout various parts of my life! Right now, I'm in a quite challenging part of my life... I have a very active 4 year old daughter... She seems to charm everybody, but for anyone who looks after her, she exhausts everyone too! Her kindergarten teacher I think gave the best description... She said, "She's very busy!" (I think kids can start kindergarten earlier in Australia than some other places...) So that takes a lot of time and attention from both myself and my wife... (She is pretty charming though! She is also very clever in her manipulations... It's like a war of minds...!) Okay, I think I got off the topic... The fact is, everybody has different methods... And some may work for some, but not work for others, because they have different personalities... I've known people who are working for themselves, who always have a set start time, work until it's the set end time, then stop... To do it again the next day... That's never been my personality! So my "work schedule" is all over the map... and even more so now with an unpredictable kid (and I have to say, her equally unpredictable mother) I need to liaise with... Sorry, this is not much of an answer. Best wishes! Dien Quote:

But that's the point, Dien!

Life is busy. And unpredictable. Any advice that isn't flexible enough to roll with the punches when needed isn't helpful The boomerang will NEVER come back! Say hi to your daughter and her mum. P.S. Completely unrelated; was in a chat with an LLM yesterday and it proudly boasted of how many languages it spoke. When I asked about Igbo (my language), the AI admitted it didn't know much about Igbo. And then proved it almost immediately by telling me it only knew simple phrases like "How are you?" But it said "Ka chi fo" which literally is "Let the day break." You know, the Igbo equivalent of "Good night". So I had the pleasure of correcting the AI LLM...
