Restaurant Profits
I think I may have mentioned this before about the time I went into a restaurant for a meal and while eating mentioned a money-saving tip to the owner. He was so happy, that from that point forward, I never had to pay for a meal there for myself or my wife.
With that example in mind, I was wondering if the same thing could happen again? Keep in mind, that I do well when I am in a one-on-one situation with people. I have found that even though I do well when talking with someone personally, it doesn't translate as well when I am on the phone. It could be that I just engage well with people in person. (Might be due to my years as a performer) In any case, I could see going to local restaurants that I like, ordering a meal, and trying to talk with the owner. As a customer, I am assuming the owner would be more inclined to talk with me briefly. Now I want to make a side-trip. Glenn Osborn has talked many times of his experiences eating with prospects at restaurants and "flirt-tipping" staff to impress the prospect. Perhaps just doing what Glenn does with prospects will make far more money that you can spend eating at your favorite restaurants than helping the restaurant owners? Who knows? I would imagine that depending on the amount of time a person spends prospecting restaurants or just eating and talking to folks will make a choice as to whether or not it is worth going after restaurants for profits. Since my wife and I go out to eat AT LEAST, one time a week, it is time to INCREASE my efforts to make going out more FUN and more profitable. |
