Becoming A Spokesperson?
 

Hello, Everyone.

This is an excellent forum, and I appreciate being able to post here. :-)

I've always been good at public speaking. Does anyone here know how a good speaker, with a counseling background (I sold concepts ), who is not famous, could get a gig as a Spokesperson or as an Endorser of a product/service (other than by auditioning for commercials)?

Most people who get started in public speaking will speak for free at a church, or any other type of public gathering. Inevitably people in the audience will get to know and refer you.

I know of one guy who became very successful after winning 2nd place in a national toastmasters tournament. He was able to put "2nd place winner in national speaking tournament" on his resume.

Speakers sell to "meeting planners" do a search on this term and you will find the most lucrative customers for professional speakers.
