Great analogy, Gordon.

There is a time management method that has you schedule your day by discrete tasks called "mini days" (i.e., writing, reading reports, telephone calls, meetings, etc.). You focus on only those tasks during the scheduled period, then stop and move to the next grouping of tasks. It works if you have few interruptions, can define specific tasks to group, and are disciplined enough to start and stop within the allotted timeframe.

And the "How Stuff Works" really taught me about the rotary engine - I remembered them from the early seventies, but never really knew much about them. Excellent site!
