I agree with you here fully. People tend to become what we expect of them....

I think in the end, it boils down to belief....

What you can conceive and believe, you can achieve, as Napoleon Hill said....

If people constantly tell you that you can't do this or that, you may start to believe it - no matter what the reality is. Then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy....

I think this principle holds true for everyone....

So sometimes it's best not to listen to the "nay-sayers" and plow right on ahead regardless. I've always been a bit stubborn that way, but it pays dividends, as long as you have the persistence to see things through, and as long as you learn from your mistakes....

You can also give yourself NEW labels, as long as it's legal, and you can live up to it. It will both change how you see yourself, and how others see you too.
