Why Gordon Jay Alexander's Advice is Priceless
Can't keep this to myself any longer.
Gordon Jay Alexander's practical insights have been extremely valuable for my business and career growth. First found Gordon on another business forum, then followed his work on SOWPub. His information has boosted my earnings both online and offline. Unlike the fluff you usually find on YouTube, Gordon's reports go straight to the point. And they are actionable. And he lets me grow at my own pace. No gimmicks, no endless "follow-up" emails. Every dollar invested in his reports delivers results. But wait, this is not about getting rich quick (or, to quote Gordon, it's not about becoming a "calculator millionaire") In my experience, it's more about removing mental blocks and gaining clarity. His tips work, no matter where you are in the world (after all, I don't live in the US) Thank you, Gordon, for all that you share. So grateful.

Did I forget to add this important lesson from Gordon?

Cash is still worth having too.
And for those of us in USA, the easiest way to collect the dough is via buying and selling. I suspect it is the same the world over, however, we Americans love to have a lot of things, a lot of things we don't really need, but we like them anyhow. I was buying and selling 50 years ago, and it is still the easiest, fastest and maybe the best way for anyone to start collecting dough under the radar. Today, still, ebay is big, craigslist is still around, Facebook marketplaces and especially local groups all provide a great opportunity to extract some moolah from the masses. Same as I wrote about 29 years ago in the Chattel Report: buy over there, sell over here, add a profit; rinse and repeat. Not much new. One thing I found out recently, locally, is...people still like cash, and are willing to take a little less cash in their hands than wait for a full sale of their stuff, so wave some green under their noses and continue on. Although it can be a stop gap fast cash method, to surTHRIVE with buying and selling, it should be approached as continuous business, and have some structures in place, even if only a few hours a week. Covid knocked a couple for a loop, my restaurant guy suffered, although he spent his savings on home improvements, the wife is happy with the new make over, but not so happy the cash isn't still rolling in. Sigh. Today, ELECTRIC vehicles are hot, but guess what, I still see bicycles for sale with a lot of quick little profits in them...a PARADE OF LIFE item. OK, back to the low. Gordon |

A modern-day Socrates...
Hi Gordon,
Thanks for sharing these insights on "chatteling" - that is, buying and selling... It's great to know, including as a "back up" option whenever you might need it! I also love HOW you have gotten attention for your items... Here's a RARE example of Gordon selling a second-hand book... (You have to be logged in to see the image... The link to the image is at the bottom...) The (controversial) headline, this ad ran during the presidency of the guy mentioned... "Is George W Bush a modern day Socrates and should he be put on trial" Gosh! That would get a lot of people reading the ad! Best wishes! Dien Quote:

A part of chatteling that few take the time to master. Of course, it isn't really ...
...needed.
It isn't really needed, BUT, it expedites the whole process of buying and selling, and the IT is attention grabbing advertising (headlines in particular). I have a very SIMPLE minded concept: Where your head goes, your body follows. OR... My two+ word success advice: Intention/Attention. Once you have decided and dedicated to your INTENT, then you give your full, undivided, laser-focused ATTENTION to bringing your intent to reality...and that is pert near the only so-called secret of MANIFESTATION one needs. In chatteling, my INTENT was always for a quick flip, a fast turnover, and never wanted to hold on for a higher, albeit, more profitable price. It is a big mistake made by so many, HOLDING on to their stuff because they think/feel it is "worth more than that". This undereducated approach was shared by my brother, who just never got the idea that turnaround and more flipping was a better idea than holding on to something because it was worth more. To the issue, my unusual ADS, mostly with an attention drawing headline fulfilled the first part of the flipping mission, once I had control of the chattel...and that was to let people know it was available. So, it isn't really needed in chatteling, or buying and selling, but having a good grasp of writing emotion evoking ads helps one quicken the process. If you don't get their attention FIRST... you have no chance of making a sale. Full circle now ya all, back to SQ1 and the POP, PictoGrigm Of Persuasion, and the best useful version of this can be found here: https://robertreports.gumroad.com/l/influencertk Gordon Quote:

I flew into Akron airport, to a meeting that would change my life...
Hi Gordon,
Let me flip back to an experience I had, now around 25 years ago! In 1999, I was staying in Boston... I was doing some work as a visiting researcher at Boston University... I had a good friend who was away, and who let me stay at his place. So I was there alone... Although I was a researcher in theoretical physics... I also had an interest in direct response marketing! This interest was sparked in my youth... My Dad was a subscriber to Scientific American. And at that time (late 70s / early 80s), Scientific American usually had JS&A ads... written by Joe Sugarman! Man, those ads were often better than the articles! Okay, fast forward to 1999... I found Gordon on the internet discussion boards... and contacted him... And lo and behold! Gordon sent me something through the mail... A package! I eagerly tore it open when I got it... An audio cassette! I popped it into the cassette player in my friend's house that I was staying at... And listened... It was the Square One Workshops! There were also diagrams I could go through... Also, Gordon got you to DRAW YOUR OWN... It was interactive! What an experience! Not too long after that, I took a weekend to fly to Akron airport, to meet with Gordon... That changed my life (for the better)! So... it all started with the Square One Workshops... Gordon is a world treasure, and I'm still learning from him... Best wishes! Dien Quote:

Re: Why Gordon Jay Alexander's Advice is Priceless
I remember when you flew to the US to meet Gordon. There were a couple of discussion boards some of us met on way back then. The name Bill.... something... was it Bill Myers discussion forum?
It wouldn't have been Tony Blake's. I forget why now, but I wasn't real popular with him. That was also the year I registered my domain name! :-) |
