![]() Stuff being sold in the tabloids...
These are from the "Globe" June 10th, 2003 issue: Full page ad-"Free National Research Project Open to All Skeptical Lottery Players... Lottery Players: Here's how to win up to $250,000.00 (and even much more) within 2 months" (MSW notes-this is obviously a 2-step ad... what they are doing is collecting names. They are probably going to follow up with some sort of information package) Full page ad-"New York Policewomen Fight Crime and Fat With Breakthrough Estrolean Weight Loss Program" (MSW notes-this is a two-step ad that refers people to various supplement and sports nutrition retail centers) Quarter page ad-"Lose 10 Pounds Now...With Perscription Diet Aids" Half-Page ad-"Get Your Career Dipoloma" (MSW notes-from the Stratford Career Institute. These type of ads have been running in magazines and newspapers since the beginning of time) Quarter page ad-"Stop Fungus" (MSW notes-ad refers to toe nail fungus) Three-quarter page ad-"Chinese Tea Diet" Three-quarter page ad-"50ft. Magna Hose" Quarter page ad-"Free Poety Contest" Quarter page ad-"Order Diet Pills" 1/8 page ad-"Credit Cards, Loans, Bills Overdue?" 1/8 page ad-"To Someone Who Stutters, It's Easier Done Than Said" (MSW notes-I like that headline) 1/8 page ad-"Free Perscriptions" 1/8 page ad-"$2150.00 A Month For Life!" (MSW notes-an Entitlement Services agency that charges $14.95 for more info) These are from the "Weekly World News" June 10th, 2003 issue: Full page ad-"Train at Home for A Succeessful Future" (MSW notes-another career building company) Full page ad-"By Combining 2 methods, Mr. Carson Won The Sum of $3,629,181.60... See How He Can Help You Win The Lottery..." Three-quarter page ad-"Now available to the public from Medical Research Press, The Pictorial Encyclopedia of Human Curiosites" (MSW notes-this book sells for $6.95) Full page ad-"Miracle Asian Diet" Three-quarter page ad-"Official 100th Anniversary 'Motor Sounds' Wall Clock" (MSW notes-A regular clock sells for $19.95 and the deluxe model sells for $29.95) One Half page ad-"Get your career diploma in the field of your choice" (MSW notes-another ad for the Stratford Career Institute) Full page ad-"Better than Botox?" (MSW notes-An ad for Strivectin, a cream that stretches the skin... Preparation H will do the same thing!) Many of the products advertised in these two tabloids are neither trickly or exotic. Virtually anyone that visits this forum could come up with similar products that would sell in these tabs. The "Weekly World News" is priced rather reasonably. Its distribution is much smaller than its sister tabs, the "Globe", the "Star", the "Sun" and the "National Examiner". Take care, Mike Winicki |
