Default A great woman "marketer" who isn't a "marketer"...

We have been advocates of women in business since day one. A short list of women I've referred to include:

Paulette Ensign, the booklet baroness

Marcia Yudkin, I own several of her books

June Davidson, runs a seminar training company

Jinny Beyer, want to see how to do it?

Of course, there are scores of women marketers, but...I'd like to see more of them, especially in Internet Marketing,

Ones which keep their voices and don't become a clone of an IM guru...

we have enough of those already.

We believe there is a huge market for women writers who will share their business experiences with new generations of women doing business.

Some of the most successful "marketers" in the world are women...

I put "marketers" in quotes - because we don't always think of them as marketers!

Let's say, Oprah Winfrey... You wouldn't think of her as a "marketer," usually. But any mention of a book when she still had her TV show would instantly propel it to the top of the bestseller charts!

She's not a multi-billionaire for nothing (worth $3 billion now, apparently)...

I think you can learn a lot about marketing from Oprah... And, she staked her own path - and did it a different way from those who came before her...

Just my 2 cents...!

Best wishes,

Dien

Default Ellen, Meg, Sara and a slew of Chinese Billionaires.

Ellen Degeneres, fired after "coming out" on her TV show, she picked up the pieces and made her way to the top.

Meg Whitman, BILLIONAIREfrom eBay success.

Sara Blakely, BILLIONAIRE, of Spanx fame.

Many great examples, and YES, I think there are some good marketing lessons we can learn from all of them.

And of course, OPRAH is a marketing genius.

You guys missed Carly Fiorina. Who is she?

Maybe the next American president. She knows how to "market" herself and, no, I'm not in her camp.

I'm merely pointing out that being a "marketer" is what gets you into the highest office in the US.

So, one can take lessons from any niche if one's eyes are open.

In my first biz (Burglar Alarms....Home & Commercial).....I needed someone to go door-to-door....grab the attention of small biz owners....convince them why they need an Alarm System and.....CLOSE the Deal.

The first woman I hired to do this.....got THREE DEALS HER FIRST DAY! And went on to outsell males 3 to 1. Thereafter I never had another Male selling my alarms.

Females GRABBED the attention of those who could write checks.

You might also Google "Barbara Ling". She's written lots of stuff and is now offering a Marketing Course.
