Yes, I know about coloquial words and phrases work good. Also I know Dan Kennedy beside using scribles on sales letters also he used Comic Sans font. But that term of "Ugly Writing" never came to mind haha. Coloquial and "write as you speak", I knew it. On the other hand... Ogilvy said something like this – not exactly: "Was used to think that confusing and excess of information on a page would sell most. My experience is the opposite, clean layouts do it good or better". But.. Yes, I know pros use ugly stuff. On the writing I never thought directly about it, beside using a coloquial style and "write as you speak". MikePT |
