![]() I learned of a program called PdfFactory that generates pdf files. I tried the trial version and plan to pay the $49.95 for the standard version since I don't need the features of the pro version. The trial version places a statement at the bottom of the page stating that it was produced using the trial version of PdfFactory.
It simply adds another "printer" to your print menu. When you "print" using that "printer," it produces a pdf file you can save where you want. I tested it on a file from Word 2000, posted it on my web site and was able to download it and read it using Acrobat Reader 4.0 without a hitch. It was easy to install, too.
